Sick of packing plastic for summer road-trips and in the lunchbox? We had the pleasure of test-driving fillyourown's great eco-friendly food storage products for the past few weeks.
Fillyourown is a local Vancouver company that creates stainless steel water bottles, plastic-free food containers, reusable lunch bags, compact folding shopping bags, and litterless lunch kits that promote greener living and reduce our ecological footprint.
Owner Annette Yang created this colourful and practical line of products after being frustrated with not finding a good reusable water bottle in 2008.
The food storage products are appealing to kids and stylish for adults, and are made from reusable stainless steel (BPA free).
The totes are made from recycled plastic water bottles, have comfy handles and are machine-washable.
fillyourown also partners with Canadian artists to feature beautiful and unique artwork and designs.
We've tested the water bottles, shopping totes and dry food containers. They've travelled to school and back, been thrown into backseats and been rained on while shopping.
No liquids have leaked, no food has spilled, and my tote bag did not break from too many apples and oranges. In short, they passed in bright, flying colours.
